Alison Thornton

Assessment and Planning Project Manager

Alison is the Assessment and Planning Project Manager in the Harvard Library. As a member of the Office of the Chief of Staff, she works with project leads on initiatives supporting the library’s strategic mission.  

Alison manages the program to track progress on the library’s multi-year goals and objectives. She also works with colleagues on reporting and financial management for Harvard Library grants and specially funded projects. Alison’s work includes scoping, researching, planning, and assisting with oversight and guidance for critical and time-sensitive library-wide projects. 

Past projects include managing the Harvard Library Values Project, creating online training modules, and contributing to the launch of a library staff learning summit. She has presented on training and career development at library conferences both regionally and nationally. Alison holds an MSLIS from Simmons University.
